At The Graphical Tree, we are regularly asked to produce work for the capital’s art galleries. This is likely to be for a few reasons – certainly our Central London location; our experience and expertise in producing high-quality graphics and signage for the arts sector; and our general wonder at the cultural and artistic output in the world around us.

As well as the graphics we’ve produced over the years, which you can see examples of in the links below and throughout our Instagram page, we’ve had a regular art series on social media too – check out the hashtag #tgtartistseries to see the artists we've featured so far.

Our gallery work ranges from small independents to larger institutions and includes the Halcyon GallerySaatchi GalleryBrunei Gallery; a brilliant Kenny Schachter, Family Guy exhibition at the Simon Lee Gallery; as well as a long history of working at Somerset House and the Tate, including their gallery shops; and let’s not forget the recent Picasso and Paper exhibition for the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly.

You can see through our case studies the breadth of work a gallery or exhibition space may need. This includes:

Window decals advertising shows

Descriptions for artworks

Wall graphics

Infographics

Exterior and interior promotional posters and signage

and sometimes even the actual art.

As with all the jobs we undertake, we're available to do as small or as large a job as is required. We can produce a simple set of graphics for you, assist in design, artwork and installation. Or if you prefer, and it would benefit you and the exhibition, we can come fully on board from the beginning to offer consultancy, attend site visits, as well as advise on materials and production methods, including eco substrate options. Maybe you need cut vinyl decals for exhibition texts; maybe you want to wrap the outside of the gallery in a graphic promoting a show; maybe you want to wallpaper a whole gallery room including the floors, walls and ceilings; maybe you want to cover stairwells in non-slip floor graphics – it's all possible.

All of which help solidify the often long and hard work which goes into the curation of an exhibition. Through the pieces of art, the shows visual language, and the supporting text and imagery, stories are narrated for the public to enjoy and connect to. It feels important to be a part of this process and how we can contribute through our experience, and the production and logistical services we can provide.

Also, importantly, in light of the recent virus Health & Safety requirements, we can provide a full range of Covid Safe signage for gallery and exhibition spaces, including floor graphics, barriers and free-standing signs, and posters. You can find more information about this here.

We love to be involved in the world of art and give something back to a culture which constantly inspires us. Important stories are told through artistic expression and it's a method of dialogue that should be championed, and not least by us as a graphic supplier and partner.

If you would like to speak to us about an upcoming show you are working on, please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
