Dr Dennis Gross at Harvey Nichols

The Graphical Tree was recommended to skincare brand Dr Dennis Gross by London’s Harvey Nichols about creating a pop up within the world-famous department store. The brief was for the space to be simple yet eye-catching and which would allow for customers to enter the space freely and view products easily.

The team at Dr Dennis Gross had some concepts they were exploring for the pop-up and approached us for our opinion on the designs, and how to actualise it within the setting of the store.

Having worked extensively with Harvey Nichols over the years we set about having a meeting with the client, our build team and contact at Harvey Nicols to discuss the possibilities and restrictions involved. These included the fact that everything had to be free-standing, as per requirement from Harvey Nicols, and be needed to able to install in one night after the store closed.

After our initial project meeting, the next step was to put together basic renders for the pop-up design and layout, and following their approval, translating them into something more detailed that Harvey Nichols could approve and meet their budget

The pop-up consisted of a number of bespoke made items, all following the same clean and radiant Dr Dennis Gross design aesthetics and style.

The Freestanding back wall is clad in off white tiles with a faux neon “get lit” in orange, surrounded by backlit face masks, drawing attention to one of the Dr Dennis Gross products.

Metal shelves with high gloss white shelving to the centre, left and right of the wall for clear and spacious product display.

Cupboard with mirror for appointments on the left-hand wall.

The centre table is clad and wrapped in ivory vinyl with grey cut acrylic letters.

Mirror bronze acrylic plinths for additional height and product display on the centre table.

Vinyl to the back wall and a printed vinyl to the right-hand side with a brand statement.

These elegant and effective elements allowed for ease of movement into the store, and simple installation on the night prior to the pop-ups launch the following day.

The project ran smoothly and efficiently from the start much due to a client with a vision and assured brand, trust in our expertise – both in our consultation on the job and our build and application of the store elements and graphics.
