We have been printing designs onto vinyl substrates for a great number of years now, for a wide range of clients. This experience has demonstrated to us, time and time again, the many advantages of using these materials, so in this blogpost, we’ll take you through the key advantages of using vinyl printing techniques for the creation of signs and graphics.

It’s now easier than ever to get a high quality finish on graphics and signs printed on vinyl substrates; in the past, heat pressing was the only way to transfer designs across to banners and similar displays. This technique often weakened the integrity of the graphic, reducing its durability and the length of time it could be reliably displayed; while also limiting the complexity of the designs that could be displayed.

However, the onset of digital printing has changed all of that, allowing for the transfer of complex designs, in a manner that doesn’t have a negative effect on the vinyl substrate’s durability. Digital printing to a vinyl substrate is also an extremely quick and easy process; delivering better value for money, and ensuring a quick turnaround on client requests.

Weather resistant

As alluded to in the entry above, graphics and sign designs that utilise vinyl substrates are better able to stand up to the rigors of outdoor use, continuing to display your designs regardless of extreme temperatures, or weather conditions.

Indeed, the specialist UV inks used to apply a design to vinyl are able to even resist the damage often caused to other outdoor print designs my continued exposure to sunlight!

Long-lasting service

The weather resistant properties of vinyl graphics and signs also make them exceptional value for money; the designs will last the test of time. This means that budget for store signage can instead be spent elsewhere, as the vinyl printed ones currently in use are liable to stay that way for years to come.

Similarly, exhibition and trade show graphics and signage that have been generated with the use of vinyl printing are also real money savers in the long-run, they can be brought in and out of storage and used time and time again!

Flexible and easy to shape

The combined attributes of vinyl printing, along with vinyl being naturally flexible and easy to cut, mean that vinyl printed signs and graphics offer superb functionality. Such designs can therefore be easily adapted for use in any number of locations.

The large format printers that we make use of here at The Graphical Tree also allow us to cater to more extreme shapes and sizes of graphics and signs; when it comes to a design for an event or business, or even just a personal pet project, the sky really is the limit when using vinyl printing!
