It’s great to be involved in exciting projects. So we loved this job producing a hospitality suite and two airside pavilions as part of the Farnborough International Airshow. We were commissioned by Pico, an international event and exhibition agency to cover the production needed.
The Graphical Tree were approached and commissioned by the job’s project manager to be involved with the exhibition graphics production. We’d worked with him in the past so he knew the capabilities we could bring to the table for this high profile event.
We used a whole host of substrates and graphical solutions for the event site. These included reverse mounted perspex panels on spacers, wall wrap vinyl, acrylic signs, printed graphic panels, hanging silicon beaded graphic frame and window tinting. This was all determined by undertaking a comprehensive site survey and client briefing before production began.
As well as the host of materials used, the graphics had a variety of installation locations too. These included a vast array of wall graphics and floor prints, as well as large outdoor containers.
With so many different products to produce and locations to install in, a thorough brief and job sheet are essential. With this in hand we’re confident of producing each piece using the correct method, material and size.
Conducting a site visit in advance and having a full brief means we’re prepared in advance. We organise any apparatus required for the job, such as scissor lifts for high installations. We may need to obtain special clearance from a venue for using special vehicles. This is all done well ahead of time along with any RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) and Health & Safety documents which are required.
With all this in place, we’re in a perfect position to install the graphics efficiently and responsibly. This is essential when it comes to big shows such as the Farnborough International Airshow.
