The inks we use in our print processes, Latex and eco-solvent, are certified for their outstanding low environmental impact. To better understand why we chose to work with these products, we thought it useful to share some information on the two certifications crediting our production methods.

UL ECOLOGO®

The UL ECOLOGO® certification helps companies and manufacturers credibly communicate the reduced environmental impact of their products and services. The certifications indicate a product has undergone rigorous scientific testing, exhaustive auditing or both, to prove its compliance with stringent, third-party, environmental performance standards.

All products certified to an ECOLOGO® standard must meet or exceed each of the listed criteria before receiving the mark. So ECOLOGO® Certification is classified as an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Type 1 ecolabel and has been successfully assessed by the Global Ecolabelling Network, further demonstrating its credibility.

For suppliers such as The Graphical Tree in London, the ECOLOGO® program offers credible third-party certification of products and services to build and strengthen trust between buyers and suppliers, customers and manufacturers. UL ECOLOGO® is recognized or referenced in hundreds of specifications and standards and the ECOLOGO® standards offer environmental leadership and scientifically developed environmental sustainability criteria, reviewed and robustly vetted by multiple stakeholders.

UL GREENGUARD

Products that are GREENGUARD Certified for low chemical emissions can contribute to the creation of healthier indoor environments and are scientifically proven to meet some of the world’s most rigorous third-party chemical emissions standards.

UL GREENGUARD Certification provides manufacturers with a competitive advantage by evaluating the health impacts of products. Two tiers of certification are available: GREENGUARD Certification and GREENGUARD Gold Certification.

GREENGUARD Certification criteria have been the basis for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credit for low-emitting furniture since 2002. With the GREENGUARD Gold Certification Standard including health-based criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. In addition to limiting emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions.

The GREENGUARD Certification Mark communicates that representative samples of a product have undergone rigorous scientific testing to meet some of the world's most stringent chemical emissions requirements. This certification gives manufacturers a distinct competitive advantage in a marketplace in which consumers are increasingly concerned about the potential health effects of products.
