!TA Venues – Miniopoly Event

We were commissioned by a long standing favourite client of ours, Richer Design, to produce graphics for the !TA Venues Miniopoly Event held at East Wintergarden – a breath-taking glass structure in Canary Wharf which has a 27-metre high arched roof, a huge Italian marble floor and a suspended gallery. The event catered for 40 exhibitors and over 500 event booker guests.
The graphics included a giant yellow Miniopoly board lino floor graphic measuring 10 metres by 10 metres; a cut to shape 10mm foamex jail; free standing, cut to shape !TA girls printed to 19mm Stadur Viscom board supported using wedge stand bases; and of course, a helicopter. The helicopter was printed double sided on 5mm foamcore for lightness, cut to shape then drilled in 5 locations with plastic rivets to support hanging wires.

With events like this safety is key. Our installers need to make sure floor graphics are securely adhered to the surface so there were no trip hazards. The printed lino was also covered in an anti-slip seal to ensure just that, no slipping of those taking part in the Miniopoly game. The helicopter needed to be treated just as carefully and securely. But instead of fixing it to the ground, it was of course hung and suspended in the air, this time from the venue rigging.
