We’re very proud to share the news that we’ve turned 10 years old. What a fantastic journey it’s been.

We’ve all worked our socks off and completed so many amazing jobs over the past 10 years. And even though we've many great memories there are a few things about the early part of the journey which are still really vivid.

The first is deciding on the name from what felt like a list of a few thousand. We love the name The Graphical Tree, it still sums up who we are and what we want to achieve – natural, flexible yet stable with a strong base, trustworthy, abundant and supportive.

The second was how excited we were to win work, be it a simple vinyl logo, a run of posters or covering the front of a global retail giant's store pre-opening. This job was for Uniqlo and one of the first major pieces we did. Douglas and I remember being on top of Oxford Street, looking onto the roof of John Lewis from a scissor lift, accompanying a team of installers fitting graphics to the soon to be opened Uniqlo flagship store. It’s a relationship that still continues, as we work with them producing POS for their complete set of London shops.

We still have the same excitement of winning a job, small or large. We genuinely want to do the best work we can for each and every client. Douglas and I are still pretty hands on when required, though we've grown the team over the years to consist of some really experienced, really friendly and really helpful people.

The last memory we'd like to share is described in a recent testimonial from another long standing client, event company Blonstein. We produce all the London Fashion Week signage for them each year. We’re proud of this testimonial and we’re proud how we’ve grown over the past 10 years - organically, based on a solid foundation, always wanting to do a good job and not to let anyone down.

"Many years ago, we needed a cut vinyl made and delivered after hours with no notice when a client suddenly added some extra logos. After calling a couple of shops I found that The Graphical Tree was the only one nearby with someone still picking up the phone. They were about to go home but could they help me? No problem, artworked, cut and delivered in 40 mins. Their attitude and skills made them instant friends and I have lost track of the amount of times the team at TGT have gone way above and beyond to make us look like miracle workers. They soak up huge complex orders, always with a smile and an unrivalled understanding of what it takes to do it right.” Brian Jones, Producer at Blonstein

Look out for another journal piece we'll share soon showing off some of the many projects we've worked on over the years.

In the meantime, thanks for all the great memories so far.
Simon, Douglas (co-founders) and all at The Graphical Tree.
